The journey of musical works from author to performer

The task of the music publisher is to put manuscripts (be they paper or computerised) into a form that is legible, inspiring, and easy to use for performers; and to ensure the promotion, distribution, and legal use of the works.

With 75 years of experience behind us, we do this honourable work with consideration, commitment, and enthusiasm.

We thank the composers and music teachers who entrust their works to us.

Soós, András

András Soós (born 1954) is an internationally recognized composer, teacher, and conductor.

He is a founding member of the 180 Group ensemble. His work has been deeply influenced by the New Music Studio, László Dobszay, Anton Webern, and György Kurtág. His music is characterized by sparse textures, concentrated musical forms, early musical ideas perceived through minimalism.

He studied at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he later joined the faculty of the Church Music Department. Alongside his compositional work, he was active as conductor of the 180 Group and the Budapest Strings. He was a member and vocal soloist of the Schola Hungarica Gregorian choir, and in 1992 founded the Contemporary Music Workshop ensemble. Editor and arranger of numerous pedagogical publications.
